I had the privilege to have an all-day adventure with my twelve favorite people in the world and it would be absolutely ridiculous if I didn't blog about this. Oh, and I'm warning you as early as now that this blog will be composed of 70% words and 30% weird and low-quality unflattering selfies of people you might not even know #soznotsoz
To celebrate my 'taksil'/Menandro (inside jokes, please bear with me) Nicole's birthday, we all went to both Eton Centris and then, my friend Camille's house. It was my first time to attend a gimik that wasn't entirely held in somebody else's house, so I felt extra excited. Our day started a bit slow though, since we weren't aware that Laser Tag was open at 11:00 in the morning, so we had no choice but to loiter around and taking pictures and wasting two hours at a nearby Chatime.
A few hours, a couple of tea drinks, card tricks and monopod/fisheye selfies later, we were finally able to play Laser Tag for fifteen minutes! Basically, Laser Tag is the act of shooting as many people from the opposing team as you can with your laser guns (I hope that was an accurate enough term). It was pretty hard though, considering the fact that we played in the dark and that my legs were already burning after just five minutes of play. It was all worth it though, since I was the second highest scorer of the Blue Team (ugh, thanks a lot Clio, LOL) and our team won! ☺
And since I had promised one of my friends, Ryen, that we would hold a somewhat Nina Pineda-inspired photo shoot during our time together (she 'ditched' us in the afternoon to attend the Scout Mag PH launch in SM Aura), we had one just minutes after our exhausting game of Laser Tag. I don't think anyone would really be interested to see this, but here are some of our wasted shots!
Anyway, afterwards we had lunch at Pancake House, where we wasted yet another two hours of our time either devouring our pieces of chicken or taking humiliating videos to be posted on our Snapchat accounts. We also had dessert at Tutti Frutti, and being the yogurt afficionado that I am, I ordered a jumbo cup of original tart topped with graham crackers and roasted almonds. Could've been a lot better if they had sliced mangoes available, but what the heck, yogurt is still yogurt.
Next, we headed to the far side of Centris to rent some segways or electric scooters for ten minutes. Although my ride on it was fun, it also helped me come to the conclusion that I am not capable of operating any mode of transportation. You could literally ask all my friends present, and they would bear witness to the fact that I bumped into either a tree, shrub or fellow segway rider every two minutes! It was absolutely humiliating (and even quite painful) that I fell off my ride more times than enough, but hey I'd be lying if I said I didn't have a blast on it.
Once we were informed that the electricity was back in Camille's village, we took a trip to her house. Originally, our plan consisted of having a horror movie marathon but since we chickened out of Splice five minutes into it, we resorted to watching some of our other friends (hi, Jammy and Nicole!) battling in Dance Central and Call of Duty. On the other hand, I, along with my other less productive companions, soaked up WiFi like it was vitamins from the sun and laughed at every Tumblr GIF and trying hard blog we saw (oops).
And I don't mean to sound cheesy, but I know for a fact that my enjoyment was primarily due to the fact that I was surrounded by the right company. I cannot thank my Taksils (+ Mars, Camille and Rhoda), enough for being the best friends I could ever have. I've never felt so complete and right with any other group of people, until now. They've accepted me for who I am, and loved me (I guess, HAHA) despite my tendencies to whine about quizzes constantly and incessantly talk about bands they find disinteresting. We're not all in the same section this school year, so I'm definitely looking forward to another barkada hangout soon! (*ehem*)
So that's it for now. I don't know how to close this off properly, so here's the song which this very post was named after: Fluorescent Adolescent by no other than the brilliant Arctic Monkeys. Highly recommended with occasional fist pumping and orange juice, enjoy.

Oh and photo credits go out to Adi Oliver, Jan Villalon and Gabby Agustin. Thank you for sending me pictures and letting me creep on your IG feeds. Love you long time!
